IRIS Birthday
dedicating this post to Iris, on her Birthday mini celebration party that we had on Friday, 27th July 2007 ~
Xin Wang Cafe - Kovan
our hearty "dim sum" lunch with the gang and here's some photos which we took before serving up our orders :)
while we wait for our food, some hungry souls decided to play with our chopsticks and disturbing others posing for photo shoot :P

here comes the FOOD.... FOOD... FoooD... slurpz!
Dim Sum
1. the infamous bun 波箩包, texture wise is really not bad and having included a slice of pineapple in the bun makes the taste even better ... not oily at all~!
2. french toast with butter & honey (see pic with Joanne holding the yummy toast!) is ooohhh, soooo.. FANTASTIC!
3. steamed lotus rice 荷叶饭, fragrant and rich in texture - though a little "nuar" but acceptable lah~!
4. steamed chix claws, another local delight which many enjoy :)
5. carrot cake, what can i say.. this is a very common yet popular dish!
Main dishes
our resistance to CRAB is definitely LOW, having ordered (1) CRAB bee hoon and (1) CRAB porridge - in comparison, the porridge WON ~!
spicy curry chicken, check this out too~!
unfortunately, i didn't quite managed to take a snap shot on Joanne's baked rice. we had a bit of it to taste and not bad leh~! meantime, our ordering power has err.. somehow "increased" so we had the opportunity to order this "breakfast" dish at only $1~! CHEAP, CHEAP~!
phew~! i'm SO gald that we're sharing EVERYTHING that you're seeing here in this post else it's gonna be SO SINFUL~!
Hog's Breath Cafe
part of our Friday night's plan - dinner and drinks :)
my first time to Hog's and i was impressed by their selection of American meats and dishes! but before i go on, it's picture snapping time ~ a tradition for our group :)
had a rather hard time deciding what to eat, everything looked so yummy :)
we ordered quite a variety of meats... from beef, chicken, seafood, salads and appetizer ~!
and of course, cake blowing time :)
birthday mud cake and tiramisu to share :)
and a very ADVANCED birthday cake for dear soh :)
it was a delicious and joyous makan session, unfortunately for ah nett and hubby who couldn't join us any earlier~!

chilling out session after dinner @ Robertson Quay and we had our fair share of wine and brooze.
after our game of "guess the number" 终极密码, we have our top score-ers of today and they are : Jay, Nett and Roland :) each having quite a far share of "redness" on their faces! hahaha..
