unstable networkz .: Quake on 26th Dec :.

the recent earthquake in Taiwan, 26th Dec 2006 not only affected just the people living in that country but many others across the globe. many of us cannot access the internet. i worry for the people there. how serious is it over there now?

note from my office:-

The following services are disrupted due to undersea cables being affected by the Taiwan earthquake.

- Accessing certain Internet sites may be slow or even inaccessible
- IDD & Tieline calls to AP countries may not get through
- WECM & MTS access from remote locations outside Home will be affected

i can't reach my clients in Taiwan. i wonder if they're safe. i hope they are.

coincidentally, the Tsunami attack 2 years ago on the very same date - 26th Dec right after Christmas "Boxing Day" had killed many and homes destroyed.

is this a sign that the end of the world is coming?

hmmz.. but i still have many places yet to visit and many things yet to accomplish leh.. and ... we're going to Taiwan in Jan 2007~!!

i have not really fix/ confirm our Taiwan itinerary next month though both of us prefer R&R and pretty much on the "ad-hoc" basis! the MUST DO include --> visiting one of the hot springs there since it's both our FIRST time. definitely wanna goto Taipei 101 and the night markets!!!

managed to call and spoke to one the staff at Rainbow Hotel and m so bowl over by their service and assurance of room availabilty w/o any credit card booking! WOW.. WOW.. WOW~! they even recommended me to goto "Beitou" hot spring (since it's nearer to Taipei hence reducing travelling time) and also to stay in hotels (for better service and security) as compared to "Ming Su" as well.. very friendly and warm service and that's just over the phone. i'm looking forward to my stay, that's for sure ~!

so i guess... it all comes down to choosing which day do what and where for hot spring :)
