shopping trip * Orchard

supposingly to work today (Sat) but guess what.. i didn't do it. was jus plain lazy and sleepy as i slept late the nite before. went for a movie with Simon, we watched Casino Royale which is actually quite good. the characters were interesting and well, it's alot of action (plus the HOT babes & the fast cars) with minimum gadgets since it's pretty much like "the beginning of James Bond".

Ros called me up in the afternoon (well, i was still lazing around watching tv). poor gal, left her office key at home hence going back home getting the key and back to office will be a waste of time. morever, her boss was telling her to take the day OFF from work and she did.

i headed to Lucky Plaza 1st before meeting up with Ros. was being "assigned" by my sister to get back her $$ from this money changer located @ B1-48 (near to MacD & this fragrance shop). in summary, Grace wanted to buy Thai Baht with this shop as they gave her a really good rate however they do not have enough for her. in the end, gave her a receipt to return back to the shop to collect her purchased Baht on another day. unfortunately such action was not successful due to "missing" shop owners. furthermore, the shop remained closed yet again after several attempts from the gals.

since the gals are already in BKK and i'm here in town so i decided to try my luck to get her money back. shop still REMAIN CLOSED, luckily, there was a mobile number so i gave it a try.

a woman picked up the call however she wasn't able to provide me with much help cos 1. she's not the owner of the shop and 2, she cannot advise me when will the shop open again~! *damnz, i hate the way these people do business. so IRRESPONSIBLE~!!!* she wanted to know my reason of calling so i told her if this shop is not open by TUES, i will call the police!

moments later, a man using the same mobile number called me. i think my "police" comment finally had some positive response. we will wait and see till TUES if this shop will open or not. i will not hesitate to CALL the POLICE if i have to *humpph*

by the time i met up with Ros, she has already started shopping and considering she's shopping with her Tangs Vouchers so i guess it wasn't much cash/ credit spending. good for her :)
in the end, our joint purchases include;
clothing from French Connection - Ros
makeup from Dior - Ros & Moi (we got samples ~ yeah)
straw slippers - Ros
earrings from Muchas - Ros
birthday pressie for ah Sze

not bad considering i was there for about 3 hours and i get to exchange $20 Tangs Voucher since they have a promotion going on. i call that savings from your spendings. hahaha!

we went to Waraku for jap dinner. it was crowded and we waited for half an hr for our seats. so many youngsters and we wondered... young people these days are getting richer these days leh. we reminded our days as kids and we dun even goto resturants for makan~! unless Mac Donald counts. wahahaa...

after a yummy full dinner, we decided to try our luck at centrepoint just to see if there was late night shopping~! oh well, we were wrong. Ros wanted to goto D'Meyson but we couldn't find the shop at all hence headed to Robinson and our joint purchases include;
earrings from Brenda Chan - Ros & Moi
lingerie from Triumph - Moi
document bag from Toscano - Ros

it was a fruitful shopping trip after all :)
